In Journey

You deserve to be treated with respect.
It’s okay to be awesome at things.
It’s okay to be proud of yourself.
It’s okay to know you are beautiful.
You are more than just beautiful.

You are not defined by what you look like.
It’s okay be smart.
It’s okay to say no.
It’s perfectly fine to remove yourself from situations that make you uncomfortable.
You won’t be able to please everyone, and you don’t need to.

You don’t have to be nice to everyone.
Your value doesn’t lie in what anyone thinks of you.
Not everyone is going to like you, and that’s okay.
Don’t change yourself to make other people comfortable with who you are.
It’s okay to remove toxic people from your life.

Fat doesn’t make you fat.
Trust and respect are both things that should be earned, not freely given.
If you find a toad, don’t kiss it in the hope you can change it into a handsome prince. Leave it in the gutter where it belongs.
You can be your own hero.
You don’t need a man.

30% off ASOS sales are the bomb.
It’s okay to be strong, to be confident, to be amazing.
To be confident is not to be arrogant.
Being brave is not the absence of fear, but of feeling the fear and doing it anyway.
It’s not normal to be with someone who belittles you, manipulates you or controls you.

Being normal is overrated. Being weird is where it’s at.
Don’t let anyone tell you you’re not good enough, not smart enough, not pretty enough.
Learn to be kind to yourself.
It’s okay to be alone.
Don’t let anyone steal your power.
Learn to love all of you. Even your tummy and your thighs.

Men that purposely make you feel small are not real men.
It’s okay not to be friends with everyone.
Just because something has always been done in a certain way, does not mean that it can’t be done in a new way.
It’s okay to be vulnerable. This is not weakness, it is strength.
Being self-less isn’t thinking less of yourself it’s thinking of yourself less.

Self-awareness is the best gift you can give yourself – period. – Emily Mantilla
